Responses to Defections

Below, some letters and emails received by people who have already requested a defection. Note that opinions expressed in the following correspondance are not necessarily those of CountMeOut.ie.

Letters & Responses

E-mails & Letters

In response to questions we posed on the Church’s involvement in the education system in Ireland, we received the following letter from Minister for Education Batt O’Keeffe, on the 21st October 2009.

Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4 (1st page of statistics), Page 5 (2nd page of statistics).

The following email is an exchange between a CMO user and his diocese, requesting a defection by email. Although successful in this instance, this is typically not standard practice for a diocese who usually require a signed letter and, in some cases, a meeting.
